Short into:
A crescent and pristine beach very near and away from the crowds of Tarkarli, Bhogwe beach is a great place to be.

Taluka: Vengurla
District: Sindhudurg
Distance: 27 km from Kudal


Best time to visit:
Nov – Feb is great.

What to see:
A long stretch Clean and curvy coastline with white soft sand.
Almost Zero tourists even in peak December.
No beggars/hawkers.
Great place for landscape photography.
All activities (dolphin watching, nivti rocks sightseeing, snorkelling, scuba) from Tarkarli are also possible from Bhogwe.
The Karli backwaters separate Tarkarli and Bhogwe beach.
Its a good beach for photography and pre-wedding shoots with the low lying maroon rocks and the pristine nature and crescent shape of the beach.

Various rock formations provide enough opportunity for solo pictures.

Whats nearby:
Nivti beach and Nivti fort. The fort is in ruins but provides great views of Bhogwe beach.
Tarkarli is a well known hot spot for snorkelling and scuba.

Travel Tips:
Dolphin watching is a must do activity here at early hours in winters.
As there are rocks along the beach, make sure you are swimming in a safe zone. The beach is not deep even till 20-30 meters.
Ample parking space is present.
Carry food and water. There is only shop here so don’t rely on it.
This is a beach. Carry sunscreen.
Most probably you would be here for picnic or late-night party. No matter how drunk or lazy you are, kindly consider the environment and DO NOT throw any kind of garbage. Carry it along with you. Dispose when you find dustbins.
