What to see:
The park was initially built as a picnic and educational place for school children. Later the committee decided that it should allow visitors (a nominal fee of Rs. 10 per person), which can help in the maintenance costs of the park.
There is building in the center of the park. It consists of washrooms, drinking water filters, an amphitheatre, an AV room and a library.
The park hosts about 38 species of butterflies and more than 80 species of birds. As many as 200 tree species have been listed, many naturally planted by birds and insects.
A paved path will take you through the park.
The park is a macro photographer’s dream place. Various species of flowers, butterflies and insects are here; ready to be clicked.
The park is closed on Sunday and open from 9am-3pm on rest of the days. It might also be closed on a national holiday unless a school picnic has been organised here.
